Additional information provided by the roads dept today (20/03):

I can confirm that there is a short closure of Bracken Road and Fern Drive this week. These closures will be at the junction of Bruntland Road for a short duration to allow the carriageway to be excavated for resurfacing. Both junction will be closed but not at the same time to allow access in and out of the estate. Once the area has been excavated the junctions will then be reopened and ramps signs erected. The works will be complete nearer the end of the week when the  resurfacing of the junctions  will be undertaken.

Due to the short duration of time the closure would be in place it was decided that a closure notice would not be issued in the instance.
