A957 SLUG ROAD (From Durris Summit to Spyhill Cottage) Aberdeenshire Council carrying out Surface Dressing Prep Works from 6th – 10th June. Local access, emergency vehicle and pedestrian access will remain. 

Now here’s the biggie – there will be NO VEHICULAR ACCESS FROM PORTLETHEN TO HILLSIDE VIA COOKSTON ROAD for 52 days from 8th June due to waterworks. Yes, this will be a massive inconvenience. Yes, it is absolutely necessary to close the road, rather than just one side at a time (I called the roads department to check).
